THE VISIT. DEDUCTION
The First Readings series helps children acquire the habit of reading in their early childhood. It is in this stage of life when children start to discover and enjoy written words; it is thus the perfect moment for them to become good readers. This series achieves that aim by stimulating childrens curiosity about language by means of readings full of textual and visual information, along with activities to be done before, during and after the reading.
Elena is a very curious girl and she loves learning about new things. Luis, a scientist, will show her that a laboratory full of tubes is not necessary to carry out experiments, paying attention to the changes that constantly occur around us is enough. Through observation and deduction, Elena will find out what happens to water when it freezes, what happens to ice when it is heated up, or how juice is made out of fruit.
