Learn from a master (sifu) of the Yang school of Tai Chi Chuan with extensive experience in spreading and teaching his art. Lessons are presented as a series of exercises, as if the student were attending a practice session - beginning with a general warm-up through stretches and other exercises, making joints supple. This is followed by a Chi Kung (Chinese soft gymnastics) session that uses dynamic and static exercises and self-massage to develop body structure, hone balance, regulate energy and relax mind and body. Students must then complete the sequence of the 24 standardized Yang school of Tai Chi Chuan movements. The book explains how to correctly execute these movements and further understand their application in the context of martial arts.
